David is one of the rare young natural winemakers in the Muscadet area, and one of the famous Landron family (His uncle Jo, father Bernard, brother Benoît, and cousin Manu are all winemakers in Muscadet and all at the very least work organically).
In 2017, David started a project to pool raising livestock, market gardening and viticulture, which was stopped at the end of 2021.
In 2022, the Passe pont estate was created to the east of Nantes, in Ligné, and operates on 6 hectares in organic farming. David works with Melon de Bourgogne, a grape variety of Muscadet & Coteaux de la Loire, Pinot Gris, Malvoisie and Gamay. The vines are hand-pruned, cultivated on the surface, limiting competition from bio-indicator plants, promoting soil life, for the production of good quality grapes. The grapes are protected by phytosanitary products of natural or mineral origin, decoctions and herbal teas. The harvest is done manually. No additives are used other than occasionally a homeopathic does of sulfites at bottling.
